What’s your approach to navigating insurance as a rideshare driver?
Hey everyone,
As rideshare drivers, we often find ourselves in a unique position when it comes to insurance. I’ve been thinking a lot about the coverage we need beyond our personal auto policies, especially given the different phases of our work – waiting for a ride request, heading to pick up a passenger, and during the trip with the passenger.
I’m curious, how have you all managed this? Do you rely solely on the insurance provided by companies like Uber or Lyft, or have you opted for additional coverage?
I’m particularly interested in how you handle the gap during the time when the app is on, but you haven’t accepted a ride yet (Period 1).
Would love to hear your insights and any tips you might have for fellow drivers.
